THE VENUE
The Abbey is the product of a 20-year friendship between a Zen Buddhist monk and a Druid priest.
​
Originally farmland, the Abbey still continues this relationship to the soil as a WSDA certified organic producer. There is also beautiful flower gardens and landscaping in the sacred spaces around the property. You will find rows of vegetable beds lush with greens in the spring/summer and fruit trees dripping with pears, apples and plums in the fall.
This peaceful oasis offers may meditate with our monks in the temple, walk our lavender labyrinth or read a book by the pond.
Yoga and Meditation Spaces
Cenotes are natural sinkholes in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico that are fed by rain and underground rivers. Our retreat space is located on the "Route of The Cenotes" and this magical area provides the opportunity to venture to an endless number of cenotes for swimming and jungle adventures.

Peaceful Grounds
Once a sleepy fishing village, Puerto Morelos is slowing growing into a favored destination in the Riviera Maya. This sea-side village has one of the finest and largest stretches of pristine beaches in the Riviera Maya that is easily accessed from the village center.

The main beach in Puerto Morelos is about 20 minutes from the retreat property (trip to this beach is included in retreat pricing).

CANCELLATION POLICY
No refunds will be given after December 1st, 2024. After December 1st, 2024 there are no refunds, unless I am able to fill your room reservation from the waiting list. If I can, I will refund you in full (minus the deposit).

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Plan to arrive on Wednesday, February 5th. The closest airport is Cancun (CUN). If you would like help arranging a shuttle from the airport to the retreat space, just let me know. Check in time is 4pm.
​
Plan on departing on Monday, February 1oth. We will have a morning meditation, gentle yoga and a closing circle and breakfast on this morning.
​
PASSPORTS
All participants must have a valid passport. Your passport must have at least 2 blank pages and be valid for at least 6 months after your departure date. No Visa is required for Americans coming for tourism and staying less than 30 days.

ADULTS ONLY
​This is intended to be an all-genders/adults only retreat. Please no children under the age of 18. And no pets please, just humans :)
​
​
SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS
This retreat will serve mostly vegetarian meals. Most special diets, including gluten-free, vegan and food allergies can be accommodated. Please note your preferences (and any allergens) in a separate retreat email once you have registered.

PARTICIPATION
This is YOUR retreat to renew and rejuvenate, and you are welcome to skip classes, sessions and events as desired.
